The Double Deflector system is a weapon mod for plasma cannons that increases the damage done by the cannons versus other ships. It directly increases the output of the cannons, making them much more deadly in combat.
Double deflectors are commonly coupled with Needle Deflector systems to allow an attacker to finish off the hull of the other ship once the shields have been disabled.
